Christmas Music vs. Christmas Carols

Christmas Music vs. Christmas Carols

Christmas music is a big part of all of our holiday celebrations – but did you know there is a difference between Christmas songs and Christmas Carols? Christmas songs celebrate the holiday of Christmas. And they are fun to sing. But Christmas Carols celebrate the coming of Jesus Christ into our world! Unfortunately – we often sing them without thinking about their deeper spiritual meaning.

That’s why I think you’re going to love our new teaching series, Christmas Carols: Remembering The Meaning of The Season! During this new series we will be singing some of your favorite Christmas Carols (O’ Holy Night, O’ Come All Ye Faithful, Away in a Manger), discovering where they came from and exploring the spiritual meaning behind each one.

We begin THIS weekend by looking at the classic Christmas Carol – O Holy Night. So be sure to invite a friend, classmate or co-worker to come with you – and join us at one of our 3 weekend services for the kick-off of Christmas Carols!

You won’t want to miss it. We’ll see you there!
