When Leonard Bernstein was conductor of the New York Philharmonic, he was asked by a reporter, “What is the most difficult instrument in the orchestra to play?” With a twinkle in his eye, Bernstein responded: “The second fiddle. I can get plenty of first violinists, but to find someone who can play the second fiddle with enthusiasm – that’s a problem; and if we have no second fiddle, we have no harmony." In today’s devotional Pastor Andrew looks at a man who had no problem playing second, and reminds us of how God used that man's humility for God's glory.
