Message: “Connecting in Community” from Dr. Rick Mandl

A message from the series “Stepping Out In Faith.” Most of us have friends like the one in this story: they will stand by our side in the good times, but at the first sign of trouble, they take off running – and in the process, leave us for the “bears”! But that’s not what genuine friendship is about.

The wisest man who ever lived wrote these words:

“Two people are better off than one, for they can help each other succeed. If one person falls, the other can reach out and help. But someone who falls alone is in real trouble.” -Ecclesiastes 4:9-10

Did you notice how the text focuses on the importance of friendship in hard times? Most of us want friends like the one described in this passage – a friend who will stick around when the going gets tough.

This sermon, we’re continuing our “Stepping Out In Faith” series and looking at “Connecting in Community” and what the Bible says about our need for one another. I hope you can join us.

Message: “Trusting God’s Promises” from Andrew Krayer-White

A message from the series “Stepping Out In Faith.” The start of the New Year is often the perfect time to turn a new page in your life, which is why so many people make New Year’s resolutions. Are you part of the 41% of the population that made a resolution this year? Maybe a more important question is will you be part of the 8% who achieve your New Year’s resolution? According to research, 80 percent of those who make resolutions on January 1 have given up by Valentine’s Day. Does that mean you should abandon any hope of change? No, what it does mean is that for real change to take place you may need something more than willpower. The good news is that if our resolutions are intended to help us to grow spiritually, God offers us His Spirit and His grace to help us achieve the things that we’ve resolved.

Join us for this sermon as we begin a new series “Stepping Out In Faith” and look together at some things that can help us to achieve spiritual growth.
